CHAPTER 7

I sat there stunned. My baby girl had just given out another order for me to kill someone or she would do it. I knew that she was crazy enough to do just that. I had to get this done. Tania didn’t have the resources to go after Gabriela and get the job done, but I did. I would make sure that it was done and done right and that there was no way on earth that anything could come back to haunt either of us.

I got up and decided to take a hot ass shower. I needed to relax. Too much shit had gone on and I was getting uptight and frustrated. I wish that damn pill would kick in quicker. I should have never stopped it to begin with. I hadn’t been off of it for a week and I was already back to the old me. I was treating Tania like she was a slave and doing it in front of the kids. That was some bogus ass shit.

I had to have been in that shower for about an hour before that water started turning cold. I shut it off and opened up the shower curtain and there was Tania standing there looking at me again. Damn. What the fuck was up with her doing that shit? I checked her hands again and they were empty.

“Why are you just standing there?” I asked as I stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around me.

“Why can’t you love me?” she asked. “What do you mean why can’t I love you? You know I love you” I said. “No you don’t. If you truly loved me then you wouldn’t keep doing this shit to me Nico. Why?” she said as her voice cracked.

I exhaled. I looked away from her. “I don’t know. I guess because I know if I keep doing it to you, then you will always come back to me. You always do. I know I can do whatever I want to do and you will always come back to me” I said looking up at her. “What if there was nothing for you to come back to? What if I wasn’t here anymore?” she said as her lips trembled.

“Tania, don’t talk like that. I love you and I would die if something happened to you. Yeah I fucked up. But you can’t keep letting me get away with shit. You got to put your foot down. I’m going to keep testing my boundaries to see how much I can get away with” I said. “You got one month. If you don’t kill her, then I will” she said as she walked out of the bathroom.

Here she goes with that damn statement again. Did she really think that she was going to be able to go to Puerto Rico and kill Gabriela? I don’t think so. She would have never been able to get close enough to her. Gabriela would see Tania and know something was up.
